You can apply only if all of these are true.
- You are a South African citizen
- You can show good study ability
- You can show financial need (this bursary is based on merit and need)
Study level needed
You must be one of these in 2026:
- A 3rd year student, or
- A 4th year student, or
- An Honours student
First-year and second-year students are not allowed to apply.
Fields of study you must be in
Your course must be in one of these areas (degree or honours level):
- Civil Engineering
- Accounting
- Marketing
- Information Technology
- Maths and Science Teaching
Where you must live (N3 corridor municipalities)
You must live in the N3 Toll Route corridor in one of these municipalities:
- Alfred Duma
- Dipaleseng
- iNkosi Langalibalele
- Mafube
- Maluti-a-Phofung
- Mpofana
- Okhahlamba
- Phumelela
- uMngeni
Proof of residence is required and will be checked carefully.
